2020 Niagara Ultra 100 km, 50 km, marathon and half marathon & 10 km
This event is now cancelled.
We are truly sorry to inform you that the 2020 version of the Niagara Ultra has been cancelled. The next edition of the race will be June 19, 2021.
We have come to the conclusion that it is in the interest of everyone’s best health that we cancel now. Covid-19 cases continue to grow, and there is no certainty about when the rules on social isolation and also when the rules on mass participation activities will be relaxed. We understand the training that you have put in so far this year and share in the disappointment that you will not be able to put it to the test along the Niagara Recreation Trail in June.
We are offering all registrants deferral to next year's Niagara Ultra on June 19, 2021 or, if you cannot make the 2021 date you can request a full refund. "
Please email ultra@niagarafallsmarathon.com if you registered but for some reason didn't receive an email sent to all registrants. By doing this you will be able to access the process to make your selection for deferral or refund.

In 2020 our oldest race is celebrating its 40th year! Come out, run (or walk) a great course and enjoy Niagara’s best post-race party with the usual St. Catharines Road Runners’ hospitality. “Get Out There!” magazine calls it “a unique event” that offers “good value”, and said “It’s no wonder that people keep coming back year after year to this event.”

In 2018, thanks to the outstanding support of our participants and sponsors, we donated $4,000 and another $3,600 in 2019. See below. We expect the 2020 donation to be even better, thanks to all our participants and sponsors!

Race Highlights
One of North America’s most historic regions, featuring the Niagara escarpment, Decew Falls, early Welland Canal sites, Decew Falls Generating Station and Twelve Mile Creek rapids. Out and back and looped section on multiple rolling hills. 80% hard-packed gravel on meandering and picturesque Twelve Mile Creek Trail also known as the historic Merritt Trail, in St. Catharines, Ontario. 6 electrolyte and water stations throughout, plenty of marshals and signage. Technical t-shirt guaranteed to pre-registered runners by May 23, 2020 at midnight. Returning runners get their names on the back of the shirts.
In January, the course is home to the Twelve Mile Creek Fool Marathon. Climb Hydro Hill, part of the Niagara Escarpment, and find out why runners keep coming back to this unique race. Great post-race party with food, beer and prizes.
